Apply for Residency

To qualify:

  • You must be at least 18 years old

  • Provide to us, in writing, verification that you are homeless

  • Must have custody of at least one child or will have custody of at least one child under 14 years of age prior to move in or be pregnant in your third trimester

  • Attend an orientation session and interview with Case Manager prior to admission

  • Documentation of sobriety required for drug and alcohol abuse clients (minimum 6 months sobriety for consideration)

  • If homeless due to an abusive relationship, you are required to obtain an Order of Protection prior to admission

  • Provide Property Manager and/or Gerard Place staff with necessary documents prior to admission


Expectations:

  • Attend life skills on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3—5pm and any other classes assessed as needed by Case Manager

  • Meet weekly with assigned Case Manager

  • Live by the policies, regulations and rules of Gerard Place tenant handbook (rules subject to change per Executive Director)

  • Enroll in GED program, job/vocational training, school, or find employment.
